Privacy policy

What you share, who can see it, and the choices you have.

Podcast archive access

If you choose to unlock the Resting Pulse archive, we save the email you enter to provide access. This does not create a membership, verify ownership of the address, or subscribe you to marketing emails. A necessary cookie remembers access in that browser for up to one year. Access tokens are stored as hashes and are unavailable to other visitors. Email records are kept while needed to provide podcast access; contact support from that address to request correction or deletion. Short-lived, hashed request identifiers help limit abuse.

Who this policy covers

This policy describes Steady by Deanxious at deanxious.com and steady.deanxious.com. Steady is operated by Deanxious LLC, 30 North Gould Street, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. Contact the team using the address below.

Steady is a membership for education and peer support. Information you share about worry, symptoms or wellbeing may be sensitive even though Steady does not provide healthcare. You do not need to submit a medical history to join.

Information we collect and why

If you enter your email for a welcome gift, we save your email and consent date to send your offer and occasional Steady news and offers. The 5% discount applies to your first paid membership billing period only; renewals are at the regular plan price. We match it to your account email and do not collect symptom information through the form. You can unsubscribe using the link in an offer email without losing your saved discount or canceling a membership.

When you join through an article invitation, we record the first generic acquisition source, advertising channel and numeric campaign ID with your account. Administrators use this first-party information to count account creation, checkout, trial, confirmed paid membership, refund and cancellation milestones. The acquisition record contains no article title, symptom query, page history or advertising click ID, and is not sent to an advertising platform.

Account information includes your email address, display name, timezone, profile choices, notification preferences and onboarding answers. We use it to sign you in, manage membership and arrange circle participation.

For standalone book purchases, we use your checkout email and verified sign-in session to restore your orders. We store chapter position, bookmarks, completion and private notes to provide the reader. Other readers cannot view your notes. Authorized administrators and infrastructure providers may have technical access where needed to operate, secure or support the service.

Membership activity includes posts, replies, reactions, bookmarks, blocks, reports, session bookings, learning progress and private plans. We use it to provide those features, remember your choices and protect the community. Expert requests include the provider or matching preference, jurisdiction, language, approach and consent you submit.

Support and moderation records include your requests, reported content, case actions and staff notes. We use them to investigate concerns, respond to requests, enforce community rules and maintain a record of decisions.

Billing records include subscription and transaction identifiers, plan, billing status and relevant payment events. Stripe handles payment details; the application does not store your full payment-card number or card security code.

Technical information may include IP addresses, browser or device details, access times, authentication events and error logs collected by hosting and service providers. It supports security, reliability and troubleshooting. Avoid including medical records or another person’s private information in posts or support requests.

Who can see your information

Community posts and replies are visible to the audience shown when you post. Circle discussions are visible to your circle and authorized staff. All-member discussions have a wider member audience. Your display name accompanies shared activity. Members must not copy discussions outside Steady, but we cannot guarantee that another person will follow that rule.

Personal plans, bookmarks and individual progress are not community posts. Other members cannot read your private plan, and moderator access does not include it. Authorized administrators and infrastructure providers may have technical access where needed to operate, secure or support the service; these records are not end-to-end encrypted.

Authorized staff can review reports and moderation records according to their role. Blocking helps control community interactions; it does not prevent authorized staff from reviewing a report or remove information someone has already seen.

Expert matching staff review the preferences you consent to share. Submitting a request does not automatically send your community posts or private plan to a therapist. If a further introduction requires sharing information with a provider, the team will explain that step and obtain the necessary permission. A provider’s own privacy policy applies to information you give them directly.

Service providers and other disclosures

The service uses Supabase for authentication, database and private storage, Stripe for payments, Google Analytics 4 for aggregate visit and purchase measurement, Resend for transactional email, and Vercel for hosting. Providers receive information needed for their functions; some may also process information under their own policies and legal obligations.

With your permission, Google Analytics runs on public pages, membership checkout and product checkout. It receives a technical identifier, approximate location, device details, page group (not health-article titles or symptom queries), and confirmed checkout and purchase events for book purchases, membership plans and Steady Rituals products. Community posts, private plans, emails, payment-card numbers and shipping addresses are not sent to Google Analytics. Member, reader, moderator and admin areas are not measured as page views.

We may disclose necessary information to comply with a valid legal requirement, investigate abuse or fraud, or protect a person’s safety. If the business changes ownership, any transfer of personal information must remain subject to applicable law and notice requirements.

The application does not currently load a separate advertising pixel. Google Analytics is configured so a Google Ads account can later import the same purchase events. Advertising personalization is off. We do not build audiences from health-article topics or community activity, and we do not sell member information. Turning on Google Ads or another advertising tool would be a material change and requires any consent required by law before it begins.

Cookies, email and session recordings

The public welcome popup uses browser storage to remember that you dismissed it or saved an offer, so it stays quiet for 30 days. This storage contains an expiry time, not your email address. Short-lived, hashed request identifiers limit abuse of the email form.

When you choose to continue an article, a necessary host-only cookie remembers that article for up to one day so we can return you to it after sign-in and checkout. It is cleared when you continue after enrollment and is not an advertising or analytics identifier.

Sign-in uses cookies to keep your session working. Disabling necessary cookies may prevent membership features from functioning. Payment and infrastructure providers may also use technologies needed for authentication, fraud prevention and service delivery. We use Google Analytics to understand visits and purchases. You can turn it off at any time using Cookie preferences; declining stops further browser analytics, clears accessible analytics cookies, and does not affect checkout or membership. Stripe’s payment form may load fonts from Google Fonts, which can receive technical request details such as your IP address.

You can change available notification preferences and quiet hours in settings. Essential account and billing messages may still be necessary. Notification emails are designed to link back to Steady rather than include private discussion or health details.

Members may not record sharing circles. Sharing circles are intended to be unrecorded. Any educational workshop recording must be announced before you join, and private member disclosures must be excluded.

Retention, security and your choices

Information is retained while needed to provide the service, resolve support or moderation matters, maintain security and meet legal or accounting obligations. Some records may remain in protected backups until those backups expire. Contact support for details about your records and a deletion request. Canceling a subscription does not itself delete your account or its records.

You can request access, correction, a copy of your information or deletion using the contact below. Please write from your account email where possible. We may need to verify your identity. Rights, exceptions and response deadlines depend on applicable law; we will explain any limitation on a request. Contact support to make a privacy request.

Deleting account data may require separate handling of shared discussions, moderation evidence, billing records and backups. We will explain what can be removed, anonymized or retained when responding to a request. Do not assume that leaving a circle erases past contributions.

We use access controls and other safeguards appropriate to the service, but no internet service can promise absolute security. If you believe information has been exposed, contact support without sending additional sensitive records.

Age, location and policy changes

Steady is for adults aged 18 and over. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

The business operates from the United States and service providers may process information in other locations. Contact support with questions about where your information is processed and your regional privacy rights.

Last updated October 10, 2026. Material changes will be communicated as required, and any new consent required by law will be obtained before the changed processing starts.
